Introduction to photography
Basic camera settings, what they mean, what they do, and when to use them.
This introductory level course is aimed at giving you the confidence to take your camera off "AUTO" and to start exploring the endless options for creativity that your camera can offer.
For this course you don't need an SLR camera as most phones, pocket cameras, and bridge cameras allow you to adjust their settings creatively.
Photography out and about in the world
This course is aimed at getting you out in the real world, shooting real people, events, landscapes or sports.
Here we adapt the course content to make it much closer to your specific interests, covering the subjects above, or others that may be more in line with your requirements or interests.
Introduction to Studio photography
Unlike location photography the studio gives you complete control over the lighting, background, subject, and content of your photographs.
During your introduction we will walk you through the lighting options, camera settings, and some of the terminology used in the studio. Our aim is to get you producing some well lit, pin sharp, and above all interesting images by the end of the course.

Creative studio lighting
Our studio lighting course focuses on developing your skills to add more creativity to your images, and includes working with both people and objects that you may come across in a typical studio environment.
The course covers white balance, colour temperature, metering, using lighting modifiers, and different lighting layouts such as short and broad lighting, portrait lighting etc.
This course assumes that you already have an understanding of camera setting, and basic lighting skills.

The above is a very small sample of what we can offer, so if you have an idea, or requirement for any training in either photography or video, please get in touch so we can discuss your requirements.
